What do you want, it's 50 foot of network cable. I'm taking that bold step into 2003. I looked around for quite a while to find the cheapest network cable. Since I bought it to do just that, I'm thrilled. Instead, I'll spend the 7$ at Amazon and do the same thing. If I bought it to cook with, or slice meat, or to hang clothes, I think I'd pretty disappointed. It networks just fine, and 50 feet away from the modem. If i weren't too cheep to not have a home phone number, I bet I'd still use dial-up.
And you're right, I'm cheep. No wireless connection for me. All the local electronic stores wanted 50$ or so for the same product, I'm waaaay too cheep for that.
This is one of the worst cables i have ever had. now, listen to this. when i got it and i went to plug it into the router i had, the thing that you plug in fell off. then, i sent it back and got another one and it happened again. it happened again. i got my money back and i never want to see this item again.
It is a good quality for the price. I use mine to connect my wall jack to my lap top, and so far am quite pleased with it. Absolutely no complaints.
This item was PERFECT for my hubby's xbox 360.Just long enough to reach from our PC to the console.Yay.
If you need to consistently get throughput of 25Mbps (HD Video) and don't want to pay hundreds for the new wireless N router and adapters, the wired solution is still cost effective at 50ft for less than $10.
